Got to chat with an IW developer in private. Cannot inform you of his name (or provide a source) as that would put him in a risk of getting fired and sued.

Will there be dedicated servers and modding tools?
Those are the only reasons I'd ever play a COD game.

IW Dev:
SDK shortly after lauch, mod support and dedicated servers.

Me:
Is it restricted bullshit like with Treyarch? (No modifying ranked servers, unranked servers only get dvars, and they haven't even released their promised mod tools yet)

IW Dev:
No. With IW closing its doors after this game, we wanted to make this game a love letter to the PC gamer we started with. It'll be mod-tastic and SDK no longer than one week after lauch, if not day 1.

It's 4-player splitscreen across the board.

IW Dev:
No. We want Infinity Ward, a company we've put a lot of time and effort into, to be remembered for a final, fantastic game. There are people who remember Ensemble for Halo Wars. We don't want that to be us.

How big are the battles in Multiplayer? Is it still a max of 18 players for Consoles?

IW Dev:
Maps vary in size, and each can hold a different number of player. We have a tiny map that's 5v5, and a huge one that's 20v20.

I don't think he means that the max players change to 20v20 upon entering the map, I think it's just meant to be played with 20 players, like on MW2, there was Grid, which was a huge map, and Rust, which was a small map.
