I also added images/icon_zombies, materials/icon_zombies, material_properties/icon_zombies to the <root>/mods/mp_ZEM folder.

And when I press build mod i get this error:

ERROR: image 'images/icon_zombies.iwi' is version 5 but should be version 13
failed loading 'icon_zombies' of type 'material' found in source file '../zone_source/mod.csv'

Make the background transparant and save it as DXT5 Generate Mipmaps and try them in an IWD file first

otherwise, try the old way of making iwi files.. You know with hex editing and stuff. (Yes this takes a lot of work)
