You never needed to put mods in a mods directory.

Evryone just told everyone else to do so and then set fs_game to /mods/mp_crapmod

you can put your mods in nignogs and set fs_game to /nignogs/mp_crapmod

Technically this is true but I just remember that yuou can't edit fs_game directly in Black Ops so yeah, it is locked to mods
