Help with menu background

Could anyone pls help to get my picture as the background menu picture i tried it over 10 hours but i dont get the right filesize like in description here in the forum..

hey guys im haveing a lot of trouble with Gimp , has anyone made a menu picture or edited any texture in Gimp ?? if so how did you do it i have the plug-in
i've tried DXT5 but its not like photoshop and im not sure what to do

never used gimp before, you can either enrage while trying to do it in gimp or you get photoshop and do it in couple of minutes
