Need help With characters

ok, what I am trying to do is set a certain character for every person. I cannot figure out how to do this. I first tried using a character like: c_cia_camo . This did not work because i had the broken spine issue.( looks retarded always staring up in the sky) Anyways i think this is because they might be sp models. So i tried using a character that had "mp" in the name. All that happened was a bunch of errors about files not existing. Anyone know how to get SP models to work in MP (preferably) or how to just set mp characters?

Precache them at init?

Did that. the "sp" models worked, just broken spines.
