Valve has just announced the launch date of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive: August 21. A collaboration with Defense Grid developers Hidden Path, Valve also mentioned that CS:GO will cost $15 on all platforms.

They announced it years ago they were aiming for $20 - $25 in the future (Blizzard did the same and charges EUR60 on their own site for a European D3 key Troll 's )

Also 1. CS:GO is not worth more than that and 2. in case anyone is interested I can probably (if enough people say they will participate) get it for ~$7.

Yes, that has always been the plan and no they do not originate from Russia. These keys will probably actually come from a retailer for the buy-in price (the price stores pay Valve per key).
