Help 1440x900 vs 1920x1080 monitor

Guys it's been a week since I bought my new pc [i5 3570k~corsair vengeance 8GB~sapphire 7870 oc etc.] and it really is a BEAST. On my asus 19" monitor of 1440x900 resolution, it runs crysis 2 on HARDCORE at 60fps .

The question: Should I get a new screen of 1920x1080 resolution?

The criteria: performance loss (fps drop), if existent + whether or not is there a huge difference in image quality between the one that I already have and the one with 1080p display.

yes I was prepared to be told that there is a huge difference but could anyone please post a screenshot comparing those two resolutions? That is what I want the most, to see the difference for myself. And, you still haven't told me if there is gonna be an fps drop moving to a higher resolution.
This is a serious question d0h! and I regret to inform you that I have been using a DVD for several years now and I really can't tell much of a difference between DVDs and BLURAYs. I would like you not to underestimate this question because I did not ask just for fun, I need help indeed.

yeah alright... however, you didn't tell me why I should. Could you please post a screenshot showing the difference between the two resolutions?

Can't you just go to your local hardware store and watch two monitors? Your eye will compare resolutions better than some PHOTO , uploaded here

yea right... I was hoping you guys could make my life a bit easier by uploading some photos... and you know what? 1440x900 resolution monitors are not sold nowadays, so how could I ever compare a 1080p monitor to mine?

Well... I can tell a small difference in the detail of the eyelids, the lips, the hair of course etc... but, you know what? Who will notice those details while playing a game, especially if it is fast-paced like FPS games? Very few people.
Generally speaking, I don't and I won't see any difference epsecially while gaming.
So why go spend 150 bucks or so to get a monitor that will display those details that are hard to notice, while it will drop my fps in return for slightly better image quality and which will only be 2.5 inches bigger and 180 pixels longer (in vertical) than the one I already have? Thank you very much good sir, but no.

1920x1080 = 2073600 pixel = 2 megapixel
1440x900 = 1296000 pixel = 1,3 megapixel

we can also start of that its actually 6MP due to 3 subpixels are 1 pixel

now tell me if thats not a huge difference

It is not noticeable... NOTICEABLE you know?
And I know maths too, I wish I hadn't purchased this monitor 5 years ago when 900p was a standard, but it's ok...
