#11
It's widescreen, it might not be visible because itsmods scales the pictures, but it's like soooo wide

1440x900 = 1296000 pixel = 1,3 megapixel

we can also start of that its actually 6MP due to 3 subpixels are 1 pixel

now tell me if thats not a huge difference

1080p standard nowadays

It is not noticeable... NOTICEABLE you know?
And I know maths too, I wish I hadn't purchased this monitor 5 years ago when 900p was a standard, but it's ok... Confused

well must be your opinion if its noticable or not because i see a difference if i watch 1080p or 720p for example....a huge difference

yea but IS IT 720p? I see the difference between 720p and 1080p too, but I think because it has 900 pixels vertical, the quality name should be like 900p? I mean I think it must be somewhere between 720p and 1080p if not 180 pixels less than 1080p vertical. I don't know, that's why I need your help... if you tell me that 1440x900 represents 720p quality, which in my opinion would be strange and unfair, then I will go buy a 1080p monitor straight away.

yeh your current resolution is between 720p and 1080p. but there is still a big graphics improvement if you play on 1080p, but dont forget that you prolly decrease your fps then.

Now that's what I'm talking about. If only you could tell me how much the fps will drop... remember, crysis 2 max set. on sapphire 7870 ghz edition~currently 57-59 fps on avg (with vsync on) and dirt showdown (now that's a strange one) max +AA~47 fps avg? (again wth vsync on)

Oh, and another thing - should I have things like shader warming, anti-aliasing and vsync on? And can my monitor that runs at 60hz refresh rate display more than 60 fps?
