Hi guys, I'm trying to make a select fire attachment for the Commando but I am having a few problems.
To make an attachment, I have to derive a weapon entry. Whenever I try to derive the entry, I can't edit it and if I copy and edit an entry first and try to derive it into the commando_mp entry, it won't let me and I'm unsure how to make the attachment now.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
EDIT: Doesn't matter now guys, I found out how to edit a derived entry. Here's how if you want to know:
1. Open up a weapon gdt.
2. Click on a weapon you want the entry to be tagged to and click derive entry.
3. Name your derived entry (Attatchment, if it's an alt mode attachment, make sure the actual alternate weapon is not derived into the weapon and make it separate. E.G: I make a grenade launcher, I derive an entry called commando_gl_mp, that is the actual gun that you fire bullets and not the underbarrel attachment. I make a new entry called gl_commando_mp separate from commando_mp, this is the actual grenade launcher.)
4. Edit your derived entry by right clicking on a property you want to change and clicking "Override base" and editing that property.
5. Convert your asset(s).
All done!
