Importing Weapons from CoDs

Hey i am having troubles with importing any weapons. I got autodesk 2009 and i exported the xmodel files to a obj file and put them in maya 2009 and selected all/grouped/codtools - model export/ selected all/ auto seen/ and export selection but it comes up with // Error: Internal failure: //group1.XMODEL_EXPORT when i try to export and it also says cannot write or open or both and fail to export // Error: Internal failure: //group1.XMODEL_EXPORT can some one help me PLZ I AM GETTING REALLY IRRITATED BECAUSE I CANT FIND ANY HELP ONLINE FROM ANYONE AND IDK HOW TO FIX THIS >:| >_<!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!<BOOM>!!!!

you've got no bones o.0, did you use xmodel exporter if so export .ma ,obj can not carry joints therefor you lose them . have a read of the tut's we have on the matter and yo will soon see what you are missing

or http://www.itsmods.com/forum/Thread-Ripp...M-COD.html and take your obj and follow on from the adding joints bit

thanks for the links this is kinda helpful but i am a noob at maya lol and i dont know how to do some of the stuff and the second link is hard to follow, ugh this is re ally confusing. :]

1.Save file as .MB
2.Save it not in model_export folder.
3.Save it in other folder.
4.Profit
5. ????

i had same problem, i solved it. so do it
