I had also some issues with my Laptop. Cleaning the Fan helped a lot.

2. I followed iPaddie's guide and it seems to be because of cpu overload, once the framerate drops the usage goes to 99% while it's supposed to be 65% and once the normal framerate restores it goes back to 65% as well.

I play all my games on a laptop, never had any problems except the fact I need to set bf3 to low details for high fps.
Laptop doesn't mean it's created only for portable office usage. Have you ever heard about gaming laptops?

What's wrong about people playing on laptops? Also, I'm happy with it, I don't need a big box with shitload of cables on my already small desk (not saying desktops are bad). It's also easier to clean it.
