MW3 Russian Version ~ VPN

Hello

I bought MW3 from Russian site , without knowing it's region locked.
So , I found out changing VPN to a Russian one would help , but I also heard i'd get banned for it.
So , how is it ? Can I use it and play without being worried about VAC Ban ?
