Preview Racing Mod Enhanced

So basicly I'm just updating the RCXD racing mods posted on this forum but I just wanted to show you guys what I made so far and also I need some help with balancing the different cars

Speed display on the hud:

I changed the position and shit .. but this is an early screenshot Big Grin


I added/fixed:
+ Added: Speed display (km/h or mph, players can set that in the options menu)
+ Added: You can now see how long you have to wait till you can boost again
+ Added: Different car classes
+ Added: Powerups (bombs, barriers, shield etc)
+ Added: Laptimes, best laptime will be saved so people can try to break it
* Fixed: Theres a 16 vehicle limit.. so when you are player 17 you become spectator

Plans:
+ 3 custom gametypes with cars
+ Easy addon system to add new powerups/car models/car stats

nothing else really .. for now Tongue

I need some help with the car balance, these are the differences per car.. are they balanced? :

fastaccel:
    speed:        34 mph
    boost interval:    30 sec
    accelspeed:    30
    handling:    8

goodhandling:
    speed:        35 mph
    boost interval:    30 sec
    accelspeed:    25
    handling:    10.5

medium:
    speed:        34.5 mph
    boost interval:    35 sec
    accelspeed:    27.5
    handling:    8.5

highspeed:
    speed:        40 mph
    boost interval:    45 sec
    accelspeed:    17.5
    handling:    6.5

Hard to say without actually playing the mod. But it seems to me that fastspeed car is always going to win..

I might increase the boost interval to 60 seconds .. so that someone with a highspeed car can only do a boost once a minute while everyone else can do that twice

@surtek that game is fucking awesome Big Grin I can add jump .. but it won't look good and it might be very buggy, maybe when i'm done with the rest of the shiz

Yea I've played it till end on my PSP, it's pretty awesome. It's like mariokart but on your PSP and better.

Add a menu at the beginning. In this menu you can choose the color of your card, color of different hud elements, your car type, your driver emblem etc.

@iAegle you could *probably* use rccar launch(5,5,5); for a small jump. Not sure, you should try it.
