What is this?
This is a realism mod, meant to be so realistic, nobody wants to play it.

Why would you make that?
To prove my point that realism in games is not a good thing! Also, I enjoy a good REAL hardcore match.

What does it contain so far?
>SoRealism Beta V0.13<
+When reloading a Spas, Stakeout, or Olympia, the whole clip is no longer removed.
+Source code is now included along with the mod.
*Fixed stuff here and there.
*Reduced the screen shake when landing after a jump to half.

>SoRealism Beta V0.12<
+Removed HUD damage indicator

>SoRealism Beta V0.11<
+Added SOG knife to every player's weapons.
+You can only melee while using the knife.
+No lounge (commaandoooooo).

>SoRealism Beta V0.10<
+Restricted IR scopes.
+Removed medals (FIRST BLOOD, SKEWER, YOU KILLED.., etc.)
*Fixed resupply crates' physics. (Will make a skin saying 'AMMO'.)
*Fixed crippled legs, bleed effects and bloody screen sometimes staying through the next life.
-Removed kick for teamkilling.

+Added one resupply crate in front of each team's spawn (won't spawn on FFA, and will only resupply primary weapons and pistols).
+Added scavenger sound and weapon switch animation for resupplying.
+Resupply crates only resupply the stock on the weapon you are currently holding (it won't give you ammo for your pistol while holding your FAL).
+When dying, instead of seeing yourself fall and watching the person who killed you, the screen turns black.

+Added small SoRealism picture to bottom left corner.
+The big SoRealism picture will only stay during grace time.
+Added markers above friendly players to let you know the difference from your enemies.
+Disabled weapon camo, custom reticle, emblem and clan text.

-Re-enabled friendly player names.
*Instead of left and right leg, hitting a player's lower leg/foot will force him to crouch. Hitting his upper leg will force him to prone.

-Unrestricted RPG and M72 LAW
+If a person carries an RPG or M72 LAW as a secondary, their primary will be taken away, they will switch to the launcher, and will be given a M1911 pistol as secondary. TL;DR: Launcher is now primary weapon.

Major features:
+Modified damage for different hit locations on the body. (Eg. headshot is always a kill)
+Screen blur and sound muffle (mumble) on damage taken
+Player bleeds when getting hit in some body parts. Faster in some body parts than others. If the player dies from the bleeding, the attacker who inflicted it gets the kill.
+Shot to the leg = fall to prone and unable to stand up.
+Shot the the other leg = fall to prone and stay there + bleed to death fast.
+Shot to the left arm = no melee.
+Shot to the right arm = no firearms.
+Shot to both arms = harmless player > bleeds to death fast.
+Adjustments to light and sky.
Minor features:
+Crosshair disabled.
+Killstreaks disabled.
+Perks disabled.
+Equipment disabled.
+No onscreen names, friendly nor unfriendly.
+No grenade indicator.
+Killcams disabled.
+Final killcams disabled.
+Forced hardcore mode.
+No intermission time.
+No team switching. Automatic team balance.
+Max dropped weapons set to 100 (real weapons don't just disappear).

What are you planning to do?
>Implement the prison knife that you have to switch to before being able to melee.
>Running into a wall will hurt you and make you stop moving (maybe black out for a split-second).
>Looking into the sun flashes you.
>Adding back-burst for launchers. (Smoke)
>Cripple legs when falling longer.
+ I'm taking suggestions!

What needs fixing?
>Modify the private match menu to make text visible
>Make a skin for resupply crates saying 'AMMO'
>Decrease camera shake when jumping.


This mod will be free, public, and people joining servers hosting it will get it in their MODS too.

Sounds very nice. All realistic mods I seen before were just with changed graphics and hardcore mod (all that minor features). major features sound VEEERY cool. Maybe Treyarch has to use your realistic mod instead of hardcore gametype? Smile

I disable everything unrealistic - even if it makes the game fun.

I even considered removing respawning, but I decided that's going too far.

Werent they supposed to fall to prone when they were shot between the legs?

Nah they just bleed out.
You don't use j_ bones when dealing with damage btw, you use stuff like "left_arm", "right_foot", "head", "torso_upper", "left_leg_lower", "left_hand"
