When i coded this plugin, i saw that the "OptionalArg" in "OnVote" return the name of the player (If we vote to kick a player). Why not the xuid? I ask that because in this plugin if a player and an admin are on the server with the same name, i can not know the one that will be kicked...

A modification is possible?

The word I got from people when they tried to call a votekick was

"you do not have access to votes on this server"

It seems "Admin" is the only one who can call votes.

Has anyone else managed to use this?

Will this only effect "votekicks"? Because the other votes don't really bother me, just people abusing "votekick".

The plugin effect on the 3 types of votes:
- next map
- map restart
- kick


"you do not have access to votes on this server" should not comes from the plugin i've coded.
What other plugins are running on your server?
It seems like a command is not in the permission plugin for the common users...
You use a plugin to call vote like !vote.... or you vote by the menu?

My plugin only trigger vote that is called from the menu buttons, not from a plugin.

same here tested on my server i can start a vote but none of the players can, i am only using the menu vote.

Votes are being called from the menu.

Is it possible to make it so it only effects "Votekick" ?

I tried it with only this plugin as well. But here are the other Plugins I am Running

could you post the fixed source so i can correct some language issues please. also as asked option to choose if votekick or nextmap etc. Also rather than ban a player from voting forever maybe a tmp ban or ban til next map.

I cant say for sure whats working or not as no friends were available and I had to ask players what it was saying. Here's what Im hearing.

Votekick is diabled against admins and when they try it says something like if you try to vk this admin 2 more times you will be votebanned. (Half of what I asked for) Thank you. Thats nice.

When they try and votekick someone else it dosent say anything.

Does it warn the second/third time?

If you have any desire to continue this, I have a few ideas.

-Coniguration options in the sv_config file with:
Customize Warnings
Choose which votes you want to monitor or limit to Votekick
Add players who are immune
Vote Ban/TMPban and length

Also is there a way you can make it so that if the vote passes its not a warning? That would help legit votekick calls. And not punish them for getting rid of unwanteds.

If you had some free time and wanted to go all out you could have it so people can get voting rep so there immune. Say for every vote they call that passes they get points?
I dont know maybe asking too much.
