Is it because it "needs steam"?

First of all great work, and thank you for sharing!

I have a legit copy of Black Ops (FR version) and got the DLC (EN version) not from Steam
Your tool works flawlessly for playing on zombie cosmodrome in solo, but when I try to play on a party with a friend who use "First Strike Optimizer" too, I have this nice error message:



Please take note that I'm the host of the game, I followed your tutorial step by step and looked at each post on this topic...

try to change the files "en_" to "fr_" and the other files containing "english" to "france"

I have got the English version of the game, but I have the same problem... Only occurs when I load up Kino with friends and use the bind key to load Ascension. They all get the loading screen but i get the error.

I tried:
reinstall Steam
reinstall Black Ops
copy over DLC again
Use other download for DLC

If you can help me, thanx!

I now tried it with all te files they provided at another forum, but i still get this:

I've found an interesting thing: I tried to load a classic zombie map the same way as Ascension (tried with and without first strike optimizer same result, which is logical):
-Launch a party and invite some friends
-Launch Kino der Toten
-Try to launch Five with the bind: bind P "map zombie_pentagon" while ingame
-Got the error:


Only the host has this irritating message...

So it's not DLC or "First strike optimizer" dependent, it's just obvious that unless you (the host) pay for the dlc, you CAN'T play zombies online with a legit copy and the "first strike optimizer"...
I also tried what you told me d0h! and still got the same error, thanks anyway...
