Has looked that you have made, simply cut out a code of the message on a mistake, but not check CPU.
Therefore process of a server on the same place stops.

Nope, it doesn't stop. My server loads just fine while I couldn't start it previously because of this error.

I'm re-downloading the server files via HLDS. maybe this works, I'll report back here.

Uh, c'mon, I have a 24/7 professional dedicated sever just for this purpose. besides I have a poor internet connection.
Will you tell us which byte did you patched or we should hex-compare the original server with this?
So we can patch next updated servers ourselves
