[Release] Windows 8.1 Fix for MW3 Server Addon

There seems to be an issue running the MW3 Dedicated Server with the Server Addon under Windows 8.1 (Windows 8 doesn't seem to be affected) which displays this message:



I debugged and traced the reason for the exception and it's from a cloaking function that's gone bad and something to do with d3d9.dll. I've made a simple fix that acts as a temporary debugger to patch and swallow the exceptions.





Instructions:
Just place the executable next to iw5mp_server.exe and then run it. Enjoy. If it doesn't work, make sure iw5mp_server.exe exists or try running as administrator.

I'm currently on Windows 8.1 right now so that could be the issue. I remember it worked fine when I was on Windows 8. I've renamed the thread for clarification.

Let me update the attachment, it could be that yours is slightly different to mine. It should now say whether the module was actually patched and automatically detach if it gets an exception other than EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT (before it was looking for a specific one that you might not get). If nothing happens in 5 seconds it will just detach from the process.

If it still doesn't work, please attach a copy of your addon.dll file in your next post. Also, does anything appear like the dedicated server console or an icon in the taskbar? If it does, it means it worked.

I would love to say I'm not drunk but I don't see any attachment? Did an admin remove it? I would really like this so I can start using my local MW3 server again.

Nobody from the staff deleted it, so it's either a bug or OP deleted it himself. I don't see any hidden attachments in his post either.
