I think there's an option in the "multiplayer" section of the options ingame that can change the max packets to 100. I might be wrong though.

Also I read a study earlier which talked about massive performance improvements once the stats system was blocked with a modified dll. I'm not sure but you might be able to stop the stats from being synced wit gamescripts.

You have to set it for every round for maxpackets. It dosent stay at 100 as u whish.

if i set to 100...it will be next round back to 40...on 2.8

i don't know why even with the same damage as cod4 weapons this game still killing faster, maybe the hitboxes or the lack of a stopping power perk ( present in cod4/mw2 promod )

why maxpackets at 40 or 50? most poeple i know play on 100.




No need for 100 packets unless your 250+ fps from what I remember, most FPS configs from cod4 had around 40ish max packets which gave better rego etc.

anything above 100 fps should have 100 maxpackets . just look at your lagometer when you put it in 100.

Not true, for example if you cap at 250 you should use 83 maxpackets as it means every 3 frames rendered 1 packet is sent, that way the connection is more static which will result in better reg and less ping fluctuations. Also a common misconception is that 125 fps with 100 maxpackets is best, wrong. Use 63 maxpackets that way the connection is more static.

Edit: it was 84 not 83 maxpackets wit com_maxfps 250. forgot
