Why FFA Only

Okay, as everybody knows by now (hopefully), Ranked servers only work if you play ffa atm, I'm not going to ask if/when/etc. other game modes will be availible, i believe if it was possible to do it in this time, it would have been done.

To the actual question:
I was wondering, why it is that FFA is the only thing that works, does it have to do with teams, objectives or the way xp is sent to the servers? I mean the more technical explanation than 'We need the source to make it work'. I'm just really curious as to how FFA ranked was achieved, and how it breaks all other game modes

I couldn't find any in depth explanation so that's why i created this thread

Honestly this is really irrelevant, but what do you think this function does? (Not trying to flame or be an asshole)

It's due to how the game scripts work (most likely) although this can be fixed by manually assigning people to teams AFAIK.

P.S. Infected also works instead of FFA

Anyway, that would suggest the team assignment breaks right? odd...
