If you have multiple ram modules try with only one ram module. If it crashes switch ram slot. If it crashes switch ram module etc. And yes, try with Memtest86
Did you overclock anything?

What does "tries to restart" mean?
Does it freeze? Try a HDD check(not in windows).

1. Unplug everything (cords etc.)
2. Pick it up and hold it out in front of you 3. FUCKING DROP KICK THE MO'FUCKER nah jokes, don't do that, never works Get your HDD and plug it into another PC, preferably a laptop,(you should know how to do that shit) Download this: http://www.puppylinux.com/ Its an offshoot of Linux Put it on a USB and put it in your laptop, then put your stupid ass HDD in it. boot up the lappy from the USB drive, and then run Puppy Linux, when in it, look up a tutorial on how to use Puppy Linux to defragment, then reformat a hard drive, after your reformat it, defragment it again. Shut down your laptop, put in the windows disc then bott up from the CD drive, install windows, put the HDD back into your desktop PC, then turn it on, and VIOLA problem solved. I had the same problem, nothing worked until some NERDY ASS GEEKY SHIT at work told me how to fix it, when i done it, it worked perfectly, i ended up installing Linux Ubuntu on my lappy, and keeping that, and keeping windows on my desktop, but now my desktop shit itself, and i fell asleep with the lappy in my bed, 1, i burnt my sheets, 2, i must have rolled over and hit the screen, because it broke BUT, do what i said and it should work. All i have to say is..... lol (06-05-2012, 12:02)Tomsen1410 Wrote: What does "tries to restart" mean? It goes black, tries to restart, sometimes it fails. @dylankrajewski >Implying I have another usable pc. I don't have a laptop, and I can't use my dad's pc for shit like that since he might need it any moment for his work.

Go to a donation service like salvation army, or go find a retarded ass piece of crap laptop at the dump, they are everywhere, you need something with at least 500mb ram and you can fix it.
