i am not quite sure but i think IW would abuse the host then
its much easier to abuse a server hoster instead of an ISP

does this mean you can enforce fps and fov and such now? on a rented dedicated server?

Hello @jaykay ,
With rented, do you mean something like gameservers.com?
Because that's not gonna happen,
You need a windows dedicated server which you have total access to
(run exe programs etc)
Also I think Nukem said that FOV doesn't work, but i'm not sure.

I'm very confused as to how I go about creating a custom gamemode - changing simple ingame physics such as how high the players can jump or how fast they can run. I think this can be achieved through dvars, am I right? Is it possible to set these settings as server side? I really want to be able to edit the settings but I really have no idea how...

If someone could point me in the right direction to start with, I can play with it from there on in.
