tryng to learn modding

hi all, new here so sorry if it is the wrong section .

i am new to modding and i want learn how to mod whit official mod tools
the first thing i want to try is to add every kind of attachments to any gun.
i looked at the guide to gsc modding for beginners, but it refers to itsloader, not to mod tools.

can someone tell me step by step how to do?

its pretty much the same way cause you only need the mod tools for specific things.
the scripting is still hand made

tryed it now: i think i do something wrong because it does not work.

i have to do somethink to load the _rank.gsc file? i have to copy it into another folder? or i have to press any button when in game to obtain that "famas_reflex_dualclip_silencer" ?

no not at all, you need to edit your _rank.gsc, then start mod tools, select your mod and press build mod.
this turns your gsc file(s) into a fastfile (ff) which is needed to load up the mod into the game/server

something 's wrong again
here's what i have done.

-copyed the _rank.gsc file
-created a folder in cod blackops/mods, called it mp_testfamas, and put the _rank.gsc copy in it.
- added the line "self giveWeapon ecc..."
-started mod tool-> select the mod folder-> checked the following boxes : link fast files,build IWD,verbose,developer,logfile.
-clicked build mod: obtaine in the folder the following files: games_mp.log,mod.csv,mod.ff,mp_testfamas.files,mp_testfamas.iwd.

then i start blops,load the mod, start a private match, but nothing happen :/ i have to press some button to make the famas appear?

what do i miss?

Made correct path ? Testfamas, maps, mp, gametypes, rank.gsc ?
You dont need 2 FF's tho, also IWD not necessary
